Dear Band Family,
I want to make sure that all of you understand how grateful I am for your involvement in the band program here at Pinecrest. As a booster organization, your support has been wonderful and there are many things that we could not have achieved without it….so BIG THANKS!
As students, the kids here are the best! I really mean that. Their kindness, willingness to work hard, and their humor are three attributes that I will carry with me forever. They have many other qualities that I will miss but these top three are where I need to stop before my waterworks start.
My 7 years here, working with y’all, have been very rewarding and I will cherish all of the stage memories we have made and the miles we have marched. I’d like to think that I am leaving the band program in better shape than what I found it…even though the Covid situation did not allow for a grand finale year I am still very proud of the steps we have made here to ensure that the kids get the best musical/life experience that they can get.
I also need to thank you for being supportive of my need to challenge myself in whole new ways…(on February 18th I start at Fred Anderson Toyota in Sanford….so if you’re looking for a new vehicle gimme a shout! 🙂 )…..it means a great deal to me that you appreciate my 25 years in education and see that I want to branch out now that I am ready.
If you know of anyone that has been in our program that you think would like to read this please feel free to forward it to them as well.
WHAT’S IT TAKE TO MAKE A MARCHING BAND GO? (and a wind ensemble, jazz band musical pit etc….!)
PRIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PRIDE!!!!!!! PC PRIIiiiiiiIIIIIDE!
Love you guys and gals,
(I could say say many more great things but the tears are really starting to flow)
